McGregor Company acquires Pendleton Grain Growers
COLFAX — The McGregor Company announced it acquired seed retailer Pendleton Grain Growers in late July.
“The McGregor Company has a long commitment to growers in the Pacific Northwest and in Oregon,” said McGregor Company President Ian McGregor in a press release. “We are thrilled to be able to shepherd the long history of quality seed production which PGG has been known for 50 years.”
McGregor will continue to run PGG’s McKennon Station seed plant, where the company sells numerous varieties of soft white wheat, hard red wheat, barley, canola and various different kinds of cover crops, under the Pendleton Grain Growers name “with all current employees,” the press release said.
“For us, the Pacific Northwest is home, and we look forward to continuing to grow for the future of PNW agriculture,” said McGregor Company Seed Manager Mike Anderson in the press release. “Our mission is to continue to provide top quality seed, great service and be in the forefront of future innovations.”
McGregor serves farmers in the inland Pacific Northwest from over 30 locations in Washington, Oregon and Idaho, with most of the company’s operations in Eastern Washington.
