40 Under 40: Jacob Barth
If you go to enough auctions in the Columbia Basin, chances are you’ll end up hearing one of the auctioneers from Chuck Yarbro Auctioneers rattling off prices. One of those fast-talkers may just be Jacob Barth of Ephrata, who manages the inventory and facility the company operates out of.
He may not run an auction as often as the business’s namesake, Chuck Yarbro, but he does it when it matters and can be seen at a variety of charity events around the Columbia Basin to help raise money for community college students, hospital operations and other community causes. Examples include the Boys & Girls Club, Habitat for Humanity, Grant County Fair, Big Bend Community College Foundation, Soroptimist, Rotary and others when the need arises.
Barth has brought the company forward during his time there and managed to get the business fully online to keep going during the pandemic.
Barth also serves as a board member for the Big Bend Community College Foundation.
He is a fundraising auctioneer for countless organizations (Boys and Girls Club, Habitat for Humanity, Grant County Fair, Rotary, BBCC Foundation, Soroptimist, et cetera).
