A graduate of Smith College and a master’s graduate of the University of Washington, Kim Neher serves as North Central Washington Libraries deputy director over public services, marketing and communications and the ongoing Facilities & Reimagining Spaces Project.

That last project impacts libraries throughout the library district with facilities in Curlew, Peshastin, Ephrata, Soap Lake, Royal City, Chelan and Manson currently being renovated to better serve their communities. Bridgeport, Cashmere, Omak and Oroville are slated to be done in the next group and the Brewster library has already been done.

Neher’s career with the library system began as a page in 2011, and she has worked her way up to librarian, circulation supervisor, adult services manager, project manager and now, deputy director.

Under her leadership of the project, the facilities operated by NCW Libraries will serve communities for years to come.
