Grant County Fair awards

MOSES LAKE — Every year, the Grant County Fair gives out the Christopher Harper Memorial Heart and Hustle Award. Harper, 5 years old and battling his second round of cancer, was determined to show a steer. “He loved life, cattle and anyone around him – we called him our little cowboy,” Colton Dockins, the presenter of the award said. At the Junior Angus Association show, two weeks before the Grant County Fair, Harper showed his brother’s steer. Then, a couple weeks later at the Grant County Fair, Harper showed a cow and calf pair.
